Gideon update

Hope this video works.....

This video seriously cracks me up! You would think that since he is so chubby he would like to eat food, but no.  I took him to the pediatrician last friday and the doc said to wait another month, and then try food again.  Hopefully he catches on soon, because I can tell my milk doesnt fill him up anymore.  He is nursing longer, but not going as long between feedings.  I feel like I feed him all day long!  Its made it hard to run errands and do anything.  I feel bad when the girls ask if we can do something and I have to say No, because Gideon wants to eat soon, or No, because Gideon is fussy.  Oh well.  The doctor also said that he is thinning out.  He height went up just a bit on the charts, and his weight came down.  So thats good.  

 I really think I have the cutest little boy on the planet, but maybe I am bias :)  We are having so much fun watching him grow.  People keep asking me if he is my last baby, and I honestly think I am done.  Four kids is A LOT!!  But then I get sad thinking that I'm doing all the fun baby stuff for the last time.  Its weird.  But I guess I am excited to just have all these 4 kids growing up together.  It will be fun and crazy in a few years!  I'm excited!!


Last week, one of my best friends came to visit.  She is living in Australia and hopefully will be back in the states soon.  She had a baby about 7 weeks after Gideon was born.  So, we put them together to compare... LOL  Her daughter is much skinnier and a lot taller than our short chubby Gideon!  It was fun to see them together.  Maybe he will grow and these 2 can get married one day  :)

Not sure why he was crying so much..... probably embarrassed about his height... or lack of height...

Reunion

Last week I got together with some of my old high school buddies!  The 5 of us had a good time catching up.  The best part was that 4 of us have new baby boys, so we put them in line oldest to youngest...and it actually lined them up smallest to biggest.  It was funny to see the older babies were small, and the young ones so big!!  So funny!!!  I am glad that some of my friends are having more kids now.  I started having babies so early, I never thought anyone would catch up :)   I wish I would have taken pics of all us girls just together!  But I did get some good shots of the kids!  I cant wait to see these girls and their kids again soon!!!  Later that night, I also got to see one of my best buddies who has been living in Australia for the past 2 years.  She just had a new baby and it was so fun to see her!!  Sadly, I didnt get any pics of us together, but hopefully I will see her more while she is visiting the states!

4 months

Time is really flying by these days! Gideon is already 4 months old and school is going to start again in like 4 weeks!! AHH!!  I cant believe it!  But this summer has really been a fun one!  Our sweet little boy is getting so Big!  I take him to the doc on friday for his shots and hopefully he has been growing taller, not fatter :)  I think I am going to start him on rice cereal this week.  Everytime I nurse him, he wants to eat again like only 45 minutes later.  He needs real food to fill him up, I think.  He stares at our food when we are eating in front of him too.  Its funny and so adorable.  He is the happiest baby I have ever seen, and his smile melts my heart!  Love you Gideon!

Lucky #7

Yesterday Gabriel and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary!  We weren't really able to go out, mostly because Gabe has hurt his back at work, and has really been taking it easy.  He can barely sit down in the car to drive anywhere and hes not sleeping well.  Poor guy.  Hopefully on wednesday when he goes to the doc, they can help him!  But I am so grateful for him and for all that he does for me and the kids!  He is the best husband I ever could have hoped for.  After all these years, he still knows how to make me smile and laugh and when he is gone for more than his usual work day, I miss him so much!  I still get butterflies when I see him, and I love him so much! Thanks for the last 7 years babe, well, actually more like 10 years since we met and started dating :)

Beautiful Bear Lake

Every year we try to go on some sort of family vacation.  Usually all 3 of my brothers are able to come out to Utah and we all go somewhere, but this year just didnt work for my 2 brothers back east.  So, it was just Gabriel and I and my brother Philip and his family.  And my parents.  We have gone to Bear Lake before as a family but last time we stayed in a huge house that would fit us all.  This time, my mom found a place called Ideal Beach Resort.  It was like a hotel that was right on the beach, so we could just walk out to the water, instead of driving and finding a beach.  It was really nice to be so close and there was a huge lawn with picnic tables, and they had their own playground and minigolf course.  So we had lots of things to do while we were there.  The only thing that wasnt so great about it was that we all had our own rooms, which meant we couldnt all sit together and hang out once the kids were in bed.  And our room was upstairs and the other 2 rooms were down, and it was just weird not all being together.  You would think that it would be nice to have privacy, but it just didnt feel like a family vacation when we werent all together.  And the room that we had didnt have AC and it was soooooo hot!!!!!!!!!!  We couldnt even use the bedroom.  All 6 of us slept in the front room where the fan was.... blah!  But we actually had a great time!  I wasnt very impressed with the beach there either.  It was really rocky and muddy where we were.  On the other side of the lake the sand is beautiful and i dont remember it being so gross.  But it sure was a great time!!  Bear Lake is one of my favorite places to go.  Sometimes we go up to Pineview, but the water is so much cleaner and nicer at bear lake.  The first full day there was real nice.  We got a boat that would take all of us out, but my dad decided to stay on the beach to watch all of our things and to babysit Gideon while he napped.  It was fun to pull the kids on the tube and to watch some of the adults attempt to wake board.  LoL   I didnt even try, I can NEVER get up, and my arms always hurt so bad afterwards.  The next day we got wave runners!  Thats when the real fun begins haha  Gabe drives like a maniac on those and always throws me off.  But somehow I stayed dry this year!  It was a blast!  The next day we had to leave.  But we got up in the morning for some minigolf.  I dont think the kids are quite old enough to really play, but they still had fun.  Now that we are home, I am completely exhausted.  I didnt get as much sun as I wanted, but thats probably good.  I'm not too fried from the sun!
I am so grateful to my parents for taking us on some good trips!!  We always have such a good time!! Next year is our Family Reunion down in Boulder Utah.  That trip is always a blast!! I am so excited to go and hopefully all my brothers will be there!  Its been a long time since we have all been together!
